Karate Kid: Legends - Review - No Spoilers...

 OK, first, let me start with discussing film-making these-days in general....

It can be TOUGH after decades pass to do a sequel - IF doing it worth the Audiences time and money and not just “Hey, nostalgia” please give us some more money!

For example: TOP GUN, and BETTLEGUESE, and others DID FANTASTIC JOBS at such. HOWEVER, sorry, big Fan of the original HALLOWEEN series (even their desire to try to turn “Halloween” into a series of Films that were NOT direct descendants of MIKE MEYERS spin-offs with HALLOWEEN 3! But that last attempts at “CASH-IN” were clear QUICK/EASY throw togethers that were NOT GOOD AT ALL.

Like, really, GAY COUPLE living in the refurbished Meyers home?!?!? Was it any real reason and point for the Script? NO - clearly just forces WOKEism messaging pandering GARBAGE and indeed that film was GARBAGE cuz of it. NOW, having said that: SPARE ME the bullshit accusations of HOMOPHOBIA [related: https://beforeitsnews.com/awakening-start-here/2019/06/pridemonth-gaypridemonth-some-in-lgbtq-community-ask-where-is-the-real-hate-words-vs-actions-deeds-12308.html]. Compare that to the GREAT and FANTASTIC newer MNS “CABIN IN THE WOODS” [update, no, pardon, correction: "Knock at the Cabin" (comparison, book v movie, contains spoilers, about KATC)] where the “gay couple” in the Cabin a very important portion of the overall developing plot points (and indeed “Questioning” of “what are the real underlying motivations” vs the indeed tired “well it’s cuz their GAY” homophobia WOKE messaging bullshit. That film was A+ and I applaud it for that Script and that (GAY COUPLE) as part of it and again its overall important point and purpose of being in the Film vs lame WOKEism pandering like “lazy” Product-Placement like being there-in.

NONE OF THAT is SPOILER about this Movie - none of that lazy, WOKE, bullshit, placements just for the sake of putting it in to pander nonsense in this Film.

Now - as for KARATE KID: LEGENDS itself. For the Grade I give it a solid “B” cuz I’m not looking to JUMP ON A BANDWAGON and PANDER to Karate Kid original Movies FANBOYism (and I was, am, will remain, MAJOR FAN, of the original and what came after). I was NOT, am not, have no interest, in the TV spin-offs; I cannot say GOOD nor BAD about that as I have not watched as again HAVE NO INTEREST in bothering to check such - even though perhaps MAY BE GREAT!

THIS MOVE - YES, PREDICTABLE. For the most part. BUT that doesn’t mean NOT GOOD, it is VERY GOOD, and very enjoyable. The Script, while again very predictable (it IS a Karate Kid sequel), is very well written. The acting (including the perhaps Dark-Haired, Younger, will remind you of Jennifer Lawrence) CoStar (whether she’ll live up to that “implied expectation” going forward will remain to be seen, but the early comparison based upon LOOKS is there like it or not) was well done. Her, and of course, the high-expectations of/with the main-Stars alike. WELL DONE. Maybe not perfect, again maybe somewhat FORCED and again PREDICTABLE given the “Characters” in itself I give them (Acting) as a whole: also a “B!”

What was/is NOT PREDICTABLE is the GREAT, wonderful ending add-on, and CAMEO - that as I said NO SPOILERS (except to say, great way to tie-in CA and that dwelling again to try give it one-last-parting tie-in and its importance to the overall framing of the Flick) will indeed adhere to NOT SPOILING it but for me maybe even consideration of the add-on raising the overall Film from the “B” that I give it to a “B+” level due to just that last couple minutes of FUN and LAUGHTER to help add additional Comedic value to the overall important and serious Plot “morals of the story!”

Overall - bottom-line - WORTH THE MONEY TO SEE IN THEATERS!!!

Most of the Universities now have Endowments that COULD cover Tuition, Housing, Feeding, Clothing, more, of every one of their Students NOW AND FOR DECADES TO COME as well as cover "Student Debt" (due to their over-inflated Tuitions) for everyone went to College since 2000.
